What's In My Bag?

               Hiya!
I thought today I'd be so very typical and do a what's in my bag post! I featured this bag in my AHS Inspired Outfit post a few weeks ago, I picked it up not too long ago but since then I've been in love with it.
The bag itself is from Urban Outfitters and was exactly what I was looking for in a great everyday bag! It's entirely black with gold hardware, also has short handles and an attachable longer strap to wear cross body.
The first thing I keep in my bag is of course my purse. This one was just a cheap one I picked up from Internacionale a few years back and I actually really love it, I love big, wallet style purses.

This is just a small makeup bag from Primark I use to carry a few items in case of touch ups, it has an oil like coating which is great in case something were to leak it won't stain my bag! If you would like to see the products I carry in this makeup bag and my bigger full face one, let me know below!
I like to have a small pouch of some sort to put all the little random things you might need into instead of having them floating around the bottom of my bag. Here I have a nail file, plasters, paracetamol, perfume samples, a mini hair brush, mirror, a hair band and hair slides! Wow.
An impulse body spray is a handbag necessity! I also like to have Soap and Glory's handfood in my bag to use after work since my hands have been sooooo dry recently especially as my hands are always in and out of water from washing peoples hair and what not.

Finally some random crap lying at the bottom of my bag; a lollipop I stole from work, a clif bar (which I love!), a penny and a pen.

What are your handbag must haves?
Hop you guys enjoyed!

American Horror Story: Coven | Inspired Outfit

               Hiya!
Like I mentioned in my previous post I wanted to do a post dedicated to American Horror Story: Coven since I loved it so much. I decided on doing an outfit inspired by the show and more so by Madison Montgomery since she was my favourite character. (no surprises there.. hehe) Instead of going for a black dress and white shirt which many of the characters wear I wanted to incorporate something a little bit different and took inspiration from this look in particular.

I really like the little bit of gold from the dress, showing Madison's glamorous and flashy side. And how could you forget some black knee high socks when it comes to a look based of AHS.
Also have to give my new bag a little shout out too, absolutely love it!! Only picked it up yesterday, one of my friends and myself decided on the name Madison for it which makes it rather fitting to be incorporated in this look.

Who's your favourite character from AHS?
Let me know what you guys think about this look and whether or not I should do more!
Hope you guys enjoyed!

Matte Nails

              Hiya!
I know a couple of months ago matte nail polish really took off and isn't such a big thing anymore. However I've recently began liking it a lot more again and after just painting my nails with Barry M's 'Mushroom' and applying my BeautyUK matte top coat I decided to write a quick post about it.

I think mixing matte and glossy nail polish of the same colour is really interesting and can play up just plain coloured nails. Like shown above a simple way is by using the same colour to do a french manicure but make one part matte and the other glossy. Or could go one step further and do something like tiger print.

What are your thoughts on matte nails?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

Black on Black on Black || 12 Days of Christmas

               Hiya!
Like I mentioned in my previous post HERE, I don't paritcularly wear a lot of colour and I dont think that's necessarily a bad thing. I wanted to share with you guys how you can wear all black and still look incredibe and make a statement. Sometimes I think people believe to be remembered they need to do something wacky or out of the ordinary to catch people attention but I don't agree at all. I like to look good but still be comfotable in what I'm wearing without feeling like a clown or people are staring for the wrong reasons.

Blake Lively
Vanessa Hudgens            Chloe Grace Moretz            Caroline Flack
                                                                   Millie Mackintosh

When wearing all one colour remember to include different textures to not make it look so boring. Both Millie and Vanessa wear fur which instantely makes the entire outfit more interesting. And Chloe and Blake both wear leather bottoms which acts in the same way, making the outfit make more of a statement. Blake also adds a scarf to one of her looks which adds more texture and layers to the overall look. Caroline shows off her legs and plays it up which slightly sheer sleeves to her playsuit. Chloe also has a beautiful cut out in her top.
It's also nice to see a mixture of casual and dressy, more glamorous outfits by just using the colour black.

Which of the looks is your favourite?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

My Go-To Smokey Eye

               Hiya!
After posting my 'Everyday Summer Makeup Routine' and getting such a good response I though I would follow with my ‘go to smokey eye’. When I go out with my friends I tend to always end up doing this look as it never fails me, always looks pretty damn good and doesn’t fade or smudge throughout the night.
The first thing I use to ensure all my shadow stays in the right place is a cream shadow, this is the Rimmel London Stir It Up shadow in ‘800 No Way!’. I apply this light grey shimmery colour all over my lid. It’s a great base to apply all my other colours on top of.
Next I take this Colortrend duo in ‘Snow Storm’ and apply the grey colour on the outer 2/3’s of my lid. I keep the inner corner and part of the lid free of dark colours as I want my eyes to still look open and bright.
Now to add some definition to my eye I take my MUA individual shadow in 'Shade 15', which is a matte black and apply it to my crease and blend it over the outer 1/3 of my lid. This also darkens the whole outer half of my eyes. I personally like having a matte black shadow in individual form so its easy to travel with to add definition to any look or to use in place of liner. I highly recommend this MUA one as its only £1 and it extremely pigmented.
To add that brightness to the inner part of my eyes I take this MeMeMe metallic duo in ‘2 Champagne Rose’, I apply the shimmery/frosty light champagne colour to the inner part of the eye and blend it with the grey colour. Also to highlight under my brow I take the white colour from the Colortrend duo, since it’s matte and I personally don’t like a shimmery brow highlight.
Now for liner. Since the shadows are all very blended and smudgey I like to use my L'oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer in ‘Black Vinyl’ to do a thin line just along my lash line to add fullness to my lashes. I love this liner, its super black and easy to use! Definitely check it out if you haven’t or are looking for a new inexpensive liquid liner. For my lower lashes I take the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kayal Liner in 001 Black and just line the outer 1/3 of my lash line with it for some definition again but still keeping the inner half free of dark colours.
If I really want my eyes to still look bright even while wearing a dark smokey eye I sometimes take the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in ‘002 Bulletproof Beige’ and apply this to my inner corner to really brighten it.
I then simply curl my lashes and apply my favourite waterproof mascara at that moment.. it’s Maybelline The Falsies atm.

So that's pretty much it!
What are your go-to products for a smokey eye?
Or products that have a great lasting power for a night out?
Hope you guys enkoyed this post!
