What I'm Loving | Revlon Colourstay Foundation

               Hiya!
Apologies guys for my absence, having a broken laptop makes blogging just a bit harder.. But hopefully this is me back and I have lots of post ideas I can't wait to write!
I thought I'd tell you guys about a product I picked up on a whim and have seriously fallen in love with. It's the Revlon Colourstay Foundation for normal/dry skin in 150 Buff.

Most foundations I've tried in the last while I haven't been blown away by but this is sooooo great. It's described as having a "flawless look, lightweight feel" and it's a pretty good description. Although the foundation gives an amazing coverage it doesn't feel cakey on the skin or look it either. The lasting power is also amazing I don't feel I need to touch it up at all throughout the day.
I simply apply this with my RealTechniques sponge all over my face then go back over any problem areas for extra coverage, then just apply a little of the Maybelline FitMe concealer (mentioned HERE in a previous post) under my eyes and I'm good to go.
All thought it's a little bit pricier for a high street foundation at £12.99 I highly recommend it and I haven't found anything better from the high street.

Have you guys tried this foundation before? What did you think?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

What's In My Bag?

               Hiya!
I thought today I'd be so very typical and do a what's in my bag post! I featured this bag in my AHS Inspired Outfit post a few weeks ago, I picked it up not too long ago but since then I've been in love with it.
The bag itself is from Urban Outfitters and was exactly what I was looking for in a great everyday bag! It's entirely black with gold hardware, also has short handles and an attachable longer strap to wear cross body.
The first thing I keep in my bag is of course my purse. This one was just a cheap one I picked up from Internacionale a few years back and I actually really love it, I love big, wallet style purses.

This is just a small makeup bag from Primark I use to carry a few items in case of touch ups, it has an oil like coating which is great in case something were to leak it won't stain my bag! If you would like to see the products I carry in this makeup bag and my bigger full face one, let me know below!
I like to have a small pouch of some sort to put all the little random things you might need into instead of having them floating around the bottom of my bag. Here I have a nail file, plasters, paracetamol, perfume samples, a mini hair brush, mirror, a hair band and hair slides! Wow.
An impulse body spray is a handbag necessity! I also like to have Soap and Glory's handfood in my bag to use after work since my hands have been sooooo dry recently especially as my hands are always in and out of water from washing peoples hair and what not.

Finally some random crap lying at the bottom of my bag; a lollipop I stole from work, a clif bar (which I love!), a penny and a pen.

What are your handbag must haves?
Hop you guys enjoyed!

Charity Fashion Show + What I Got In My Gift Bag

               Hiya!
So last night I attended CT Funding Fashion Show. CT funding puts on events to help a local family pay for cancer treatments that are unfortunately not free on the NHS here in Northern Ireland. So many shops lent out clothing and many others gave prizes to be won at the end of the night which was so great to see! My mum was actually in the show and did such a great job haha! The whole night had such an incredible atmosphere and it was so great doing something worthwhile but still having an amazing time!
Here are some photos of my mum working it on the runway!

Here are some photos of what I wore too.
We also got given a gift bag when we went in and my mum also gave me hers and there were some great stuff in them! There were a few perfume samples which are always handy, a tonne of cards from local businesses (but not all of them are here), body wash, Clarins cleanser, Benefit eye cream and No7 eyeliner! The organisers put so much thought and effort into every aspect, was seriously such a great night.

Have you guys ever attended a fashion show and what did you think of it?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

American Horror Story: Coven | Inspired Outfit

               Hiya!
Like I mentioned in my previous post I wanted to do a post dedicated to American Horror Story: Coven since I loved it so much. I decided on doing an outfit inspired by the show and more so by Madison Montgomery since she was my favourite character. (no surprises there.. hehe) Instead of going for a black dress and white shirt which many of the characters wear I wanted to incorporate something a little bit different and took inspiration from this look in particular.

I really like the little bit of gold from the dress, showing Madison's glamorous and flashy side. And how could you forget some black knee high socks when it comes to a look based of AHS.
Also have to give my new bag a little shout out too, absolutely love it!! Only picked it up yesterday, one of my friends and myself decided on the name Madison for it which makes it rather fitting to be incorporated in this look.

Who's your favourite character from AHS?
Let me know what you guys think about this look and whether or not I should do more!
Hope you guys enjoyed!

Life's Always Better With A Tan + Catch Up

              Hiya!
So guys, how has your 2014 been going so far? Mine has been crazy busy with school work and socialising with friends but it has been a great start to the year for sure! Also finished some TV shows, The Carrie Diaries season 2 just ended and it was pretty fab. (here's a post from when I first fell in love with the show HERE, probably one of my favourite posts) Also like everyone else and their mother American Horror Story Coven was incredible, seriously not my usual kind of thing to watch but loved it. Keep an eye out for an entire post dedicated to it, hehe.

Anyway just wanted to include a quick sort of catch up before actually getting into today's post. I just wanted to share with yous a product that I have recently fallen in love with. It is Rimmel London SunShimmer Instant Tan, shade Light Matte. This stuff is a life saver.
I'm not the best when it comes to fake tans but I decided to give this a go and it's perfect. I just use a mitt to apply it (had already used it so didn't want to use a picture haha) and rub it all over. Since you can see the colour of the product it's easy to avoid streaks or blotches. It adds a great glow but numerous layers can be applied to build up colour. This is the wash off one so definitely don't wear it in the rain or you will end up with random little water marks where it has came off! Although it does mean it showers off easily without scrubbing your skin off. Was also only £3.99 which is a great price for an instant tan that really works!
Definitely pick this up and give it a try if your on the look out for a new tan. A 'shimmer' version is also available but I much prefer matte tans.

What's your go to tan? Or do you just not bother at all and embrace the pale life?
Hope you guys enjoyed!
Love, Julie xx
