Current Loves | Lip Products

               Hiya!
So this may sound silly but since leaving school and working a tonne I've been experimenting with my makeup on an everyday basis a lot more, especially my lip colour. While in school I wore very little makeup and only really played it up on the weekends. Recently I've fallen back in love with switching up my makeup and trying some new things. These are a few of the lip products I've been loving during the past few weeks that are a little different to the pale pinks I tend to go for.
First off lip liners as a whole are a massive fav-they have amazing wear and such a gorgeous finish.
This Rimmel London Exaggerate a Full Colour liner in 063 Eastend snob is a 'my lips but better' type of colour which is great for days when my eye makeup is slightly heavier but I still want something on my lips. Also you don't have to worry about sharpening this.. #lazy
Next is Rimmel London's lasting finish 1000 Kisses loner in 063 Black Tulip which is getting me super excited for fall. It's quite a vampy red but still pretty wearable, reminds me a lot of MAC's Diva lipstick. This stays on incredibly well which is perfect since it is a darker colour.
Staying with Rimmel I picked up this lipstick about a week ago but already love it. It's Rimmel London's Lasting Finish in 084 Amethyst Shimmer which I feel is a great bright pinky/purple colour for the fall time. It also has a lovely sheen finish to it.
I've also rediscovered my UD Naked lipgloss in Beso, which I was obsessed with when I first bought but kinda forgot about. It's perfect to just through on without a mirror after eating or drinking. Also if you really dislike sticky lipglosses you seriously must check these out, so perfect
Finally an old lipstick I got a while back but never went all out and wore it super opaque on my lips is Barry M lipstick in 146. Recently though I wore this quite a few times just like it's shown in the picture and absolutely loved it. I wish if rediscovered it sooner so I could've got more wear out of it during the summer! It has incredible colour payoff and lasting power!

So they're the lip products I've been loving recently!
What have your fav lip products been recently?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

Life's Always Better With A Tan + Catch Up

              Hiya!
So guys, how has your 2014 been going so far? Mine has been crazy busy with school work and socialising with friends but it has been a great start to the year for sure! Also finished some TV shows, The Carrie Diaries season 2 just ended and it was pretty fab. (here's a post from when I first fell in love with the show HERE, probably one of my favourite posts) Also like everyone else and their mother American Horror Story Coven was incredible, seriously not my usual kind of thing to watch but loved it. Keep an eye out for an entire post dedicated to it, hehe.

Anyway just wanted to include a quick sort of catch up before actually getting into today's post. I just wanted to share with yous a product that I have recently fallen in love with. It is Rimmel London SunShimmer Instant Tan, shade Light Matte. This stuff is a life saver.
I'm not the best when it comes to fake tans but I decided to give this a go and it's perfect. I just use a mitt to apply it (had already used it so didn't want to use a picture haha) and rub it all over. Since you can see the colour of the product it's easy to avoid streaks or blotches. It adds a great glow but numerous layers can be applied to build up colour. This is the wash off one so definitely don't wear it in the rain or you will end up with random little water marks where it has came off! Although it does mean it showers off easily without scrubbing your skin off. Was also only £3.99 which is a great price for an instant tan that really works!
Definitely pick this up and give it a try if your on the look out for a new tan. A 'shimmer' version is also available but I much prefer matte tans.

What's your go to tan? Or do you just not bother at all and embrace the pale life?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

New Lip Products

                 Hiya!
Finally the festive period is upon is and it is socially acceptable for me to listen to as many Chritmas songs as my heart pleases and begin feasting on chocolate everyday. Anyway... it's been a little while since I’ve talked about new beauty products but just the other day I decided to pick up some new lovely things for my lips.

First off is the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E Lip Balm in the original scent. I recently ran out of my favourite medicated chapstick mentioned HERE and decided to try something new and had seen quite a few people using this stuff around school so thought I'd give it a go. It was only £1.89 from Boots which is a complete steal! It’s a super creamy consistently which feels amazing on your lips and is completely sheer so great to use everyday especially in school. Another bonus is it has SPF 15 which is such a great plus especially as I’ve had my lips burnt before and let me tell you it's seriously not fun. All round I’ve been really enjoying this lip balm and advise you to pick it up if you’re on the hunt for a new one.
Next is a product that has been raved about by US beauty bloggers for a while now and its Maybelline’s Baby Lips. They’re pretty much just a lip balm but majority of them are tinted with a sheer wearable colour. The one I picked up is in “Cherry Me” and is a sheer redish colour, great for everyday wear as just a hint of colour. I wouldn’t reach for this if I was after a super moisturising lip bam but if I wanted to wear a little bit of colour on my lips this is great as it doesn’t dry them but, for my anyway it doesn’t add much moisture either.
Finally I was on the hunt for a nice deep red colour for the upcoming festive period and decided on the Kate Moss Matte Collection for Rimmel London in the colour 107. It’s a beautiful rich deep red colour and stays on your lips for so long since it’s matte. It’s also not overly drying considering it is matte. I also like to just blend a little onto my lips and wear it a little more sheered out and not just so dramatic for more everyday wear.

Have you tried any of these products?
What lip products have you been loving recently?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

My Go-To Smokey Eye

               Hiya!
After posting my 'Everyday Summer Makeup Routine' and getting such a good response I though I would follow with my ‘go to smokey eye’. When I go out with my friends I tend to always end up doing this look as it never fails me, always looks pretty damn good and doesn’t fade or smudge throughout the night.
The first thing I use to ensure all my shadow stays in the right place is a cream shadow, this is the Rimmel London Stir It Up shadow in ‘800 No Way!’. I apply this light grey shimmery colour all over my lid. It’s a great base to apply all my other colours on top of.
Next I take this Colortrend duo in ‘Snow Storm’ and apply the grey colour on the outer 2/3’s of my lid. I keep the inner corner and part of the lid free of dark colours as I want my eyes to still look open and bright.
Now to add some definition to my eye I take my MUA individual shadow in 'Shade 15', which is a matte black and apply it to my crease and blend it over the outer 1/3 of my lid. This also darkens the whole outer half of my eyes. I personally like having a matte black shadow in individual form so its easy to travel with to add definition to any look or to use in place of liner. I highly recommend this MUA one as its only £1 and it extremely pigmented.
To add that brightness to the inner part of my eyes I take this MeMeMe metallic duo in ‘2 Champagne Rose’, I apply the shimmery/frosty light champagne colour to the inner part of the eye and blend it with the grey colour. Also to highlight under my brow I take the white colour from the Colortrend duo, since it’s matte and I personally don’t like a shimmery brow highlight.
Now for liner. Since the shadows are all very blended and smudgey I like to use my L'oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer in ‘Black Vinyl’ to do a thin line just along my lash line to add fullness to my lashes. I love this liner, its super black and easy to use! Definitely check it out if you haven’t or are looking for a new inexpensive liquid liner. For my lower lashes I take the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kayal Liner in 001 Black and just line the outer 1/3 of my lash line with it for some definition again but still keeping the inner half free of dark colours.
If I really want my eyes to still look bright even while wearing a dark smokey eye I sometimes take the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in ‘002 Bulletproof Beige’ and apply this to my inner corner to really brighten it.
I then simply curl my lashes and apply my favourite waterproof mascara at that moment.. it’s Maybelline The Falsies atm.

So that's pretty much it!
What are your go-to products for a smokey eye?
Or products that have a great lasting power for a night out?
Hope you guys enkoyed this post!

My Everyday Summer Makeup Routine

               Hiya!
So, during the summer months I like to give my skin a break and wear less makeup. These products are my everyday essentials if I’m hanging out with friends or going shopping, they’re also great in super hot weather (which surprising we have been blessed with here in the UK, woo!) and don’t melt off your face.
This first product is The Soltan Ultra Resistance Sunstick for Lips and Face. This has been such an essential because I burn easily in the sun and don’t want to experience burnt lips again.. I apply a thin layer after my moisturiser and blend it in with my hands. It doesn’t dry my skin out or affect any of the products I apply afterwards.
The next product is one I can’t live without, so many people rave about it and it definitely deserves all the great reviews. This is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Shade 2, its great for both undereye darkness and for blemishes on the face. I use this concealer in place of a foundation, it has the perfect amount of coverage while still looking natural. Pairing it with a mineral powder for more coverage or if you have oily skin would be great for the summer too.
Probably the most important part of doing my makeup is filling in my eyebrows. My face never looks quite complete until I’ve done this step, makes such a huge difference in my opinion. I use an inglot eyeshadow in 327 matte just to fill in any sparse areas and set it in place with clear mascara from miss sporty. The best brush I’ve found to do this is a dense angled eyebrow brush, gives you control by placing the colour exactly where you want it.
I honestly can’t be bothered using eyeshadow on an everyday basis but since I wear such little face makeup I like to make sure my eyes are nicely framed and stand out, that’s where my Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 001 Black comes in. I simply line the outer half of my top lash line with this (like liquidliner) then use this little dense brush I got with an Urban Decay palette to smudge it out to make it look more effortless and less precise.
Next I curl my eyelashes with a cheap £2 curler from Superdrug, still makes a huge difference by making my eyes look super awake and open. I apply a coat or 2 of the Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Waterproof to my top and bottom eyelashes. This mascara is really great at adding both volume and length but its not great on my bottom eyelashes, I definitely prefer Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Waterproof but this is still a really great mascara and only around £6 from Boots.
To add some shape and colour back into my face I use the NYC Colour Wheel Mosaic Face Powder in 724C. Since this bronzer is matte I use it the contour my cheeks, temples, jawline and bring it down my neck. It’s the perfect colour without it being muddy or orange and again is super inexpensive.
Finally I add some of my Benefit Hervana blush to my cheeks to brighten up my face. This is the perfect natural colour for me and just has a nice sheen to it without there being chunky glitter or shimmer.
I use various brushes but my 2 favourites is my foundation and bronzer brushes. To blend in my concealer and foundation when I wear it I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Then to contour my face a use a ranodm brush from Boots that is perfectly shaped to fit in the hollows of my cheeks and tapered to apply colour but also blend out the edges.

What products are your must haves during the summer?
I hope you guys enjoyed this!

New | Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Products

               Hiya!
Recently I’ve been trying out new products from some new spring collections that different brands have been coming out with but there’s been one clear winner with their new releases. Rimmel London has had some superrrr great new products recently and this post is going to be about my 2 new favourite eye products!
Both products are from the new Scandal Eyes range.
The first is waterproof kohl eyeliner. I have a real problem with finding eyeliners that actually stay on my eyes without moving and smudging but Rimmel’s new black eyeliner has really solved this problem. It’s a super pigmented and super soft pencil that’s easy to apply and due to it being waterproof it stays on a considerable amount of time and that’s a real achievement especially on my eyes. Also due to the pencil having such a soft and creamy texture it makes it a dream to apply to your upper tight line and waterline so if you have difficulty with that definitely check this out! The eyeliner’s are only £3.99 which is a crazy price for such a great eyeliner so if you have trouble finding eyeliners that actually stay on your eyes I urge you to check this one out before spending a load of money on a high end brand.
The second product is the newest release from Rimmel and the Scandal Eyes collection. It’s the new eye shadow stick in ‘002 Bulletproof Beige’. It’s a beautiful light champagne colour that’s great as a base under any neutral eyeshadow look but my favourite use for it is for highlighting my inner corner of my eye. Just like the eyeliner it has a beautiful creamy texture which makes it wonderful to apply and doesn’t pull or tug at your eye whatsoever. They’re currently £4.99 at boots but I got mine on offer when they were first released for only £3.49 which personally I thought was a total steal!
Both ranges have numerous colours to choose from including some amazing bright colours whcih woud be great for a pop of colour in the summer time.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them?
Hope you guys enjoyed!
