Lazy Summer Days | Fav TV Shows

                  Hiya!
If your summer is anything like mine not everyday is full of adventure or even socialising... This post is my passing in some of my antisocial expertise and showing you some of my favourite tv shows to binge on during those days where all you do is sit in and drink tea. (aka my entire summer)

First up is Gossip Girl. If you somehow haven't watched this show I would make it a priority this summer to watch this incredible show. I don't want to ramble too much about this one but Gossip Girl is definitely one of my all time favourite shows. Even if you have watched it before why not take a trip down memory lane and re watch some episodes.. which is exactly what I'm currently doing. (psssh I talk more about GG HERE)

Desperate Housewives, I don't even know where to begin. DH is hands down my all time favourite show. It has the perfect mix of comedy, serious story lines, relationships and heart ache. If for whatever reason you don't know what the show is about it's based around 4 housewives living on a little suburban street called Wisteria Lane. It basically shows these women dealing with their families, friends and work life. The show deals with some pretty dark story lines right from the get go. There's always some sort of drama going on.
The show certainly isn't overly girly and due to the humour both girls and guys can enjoy it. If you need a new great show to get obsessed over make this it! Also thanks to there being so many episodes you certainly won't be bored this summer.

Next is The Vampire Diaries, another favourite with many. I've been watching TVD since it's premier and loved it from the start. I really didn't think it would be something I'd be into but it's became a firm fav. The story lines are super gripping and always leaves you wanting the next episode. If you like a show with some action but still a little bit of romance TVD is perf for you.

AWKWARD is again a show I watched from the very start and loved. From the adverts it seemed right up my alley and I couldn't wait to watch it. However the show was different to how I expected it and somehow turned out much better than I could have imagined! It's a slightly different take on the typical high school show, it's almost believable compared to something like 90210 where they wear heels everyday and drive incredible cars. If you want to watch something you don't have to think about or really concentrate on AWKWARD is the show for you. Also thanks to the episode only being 20 minutes they're great to watch while getting ready.

What are some of your favourite tv shows?
Hope you guys enjoyed!

Gossip Girl || 12 Days of Christmas

          Hiya!
Morning Upper East-Siders… Like every other girl in existent I am a hugeeeee Gossip Girl fan, although I was extremely late to climb upon this bandwagon. Gossip Girl is a cult classic and if somehow you don’t know what it is or have never caught an episode let me fill you somewhat in: the show revolves around 5 main characters who are Manhattans elite socialites. Gossip Girl is, as the name suggests, a gossip site which reports on all scandal relating to these 5 throughout their latter years in high school onto them beginning they journey into adult hood. There are many other characters in the show but it always leads back to the core 5. The main thing I’ve picked up from the show is the incredible fashion, in this post I want to only scrap the surface of some of my favourite looks from the seasons. This may lead to many re watching all seasons on Netflix during the upcoming gloomy whether but hey, when there’s nothing better to do why not pine over Chuck Bass and dream of having a closet a fraction of how fabulous Blair Waldorfs is one day.

Do you have an all time favourite look from the show?
And who do you think has the best wardrobe over all?
Hope you guys enjoyed!
(You know you love me ;))

The Carrie Diaries

               Hiya!
So this is a little bit of a random post but one I have been planning on doing for a while. The Carrie Diaries. If you’re anything like me, a lover of big hair, bright makeup and New York then this is a must see show. If you didn’t already know The Carrie Diaries is a prequel to the beloved Sex and the City series and follows Carrie Bradshaw during her teenage years. The show deals with things from boys and sex to troubled home life and relationships.
When Sex and the City was first released I was of course too young to watch but since then I have watched (and loved) the movies and caught a few episodes. Never the less Carrie Bradshaw, and SJP, are huge inspirations in style but also life in general. Anna Sophia Robb, a young 19 young old had massive shoes to fill (Manolo Blahniks if you will) and personally I think she did a fabulous job. Although there is only one season released (the second is being filmed, ah!) throughout the show you already see Carrie grow as a person, learning from her mistakes and trying to continue with her life after losing her mother. Also you can’t really complain about Austin Butler playing Carries’ love interest Sebastian Kidd, a bad boy expelled from his previous school. (Kiddshaw 4ever)
You can’t help but notice the wardrobe on this show, based in the 80s you know there are going to be some amazingly daring outfits. The incredible Eric Daman is stylist on the show not only did he work on Gossip Girl but also worked on some later seasons on SATC so you know the show and Carrie are in safe hands. The show incorporates all types of clothing from the 80s, the punk trend, bad boy biker type look, preppy, and just the crazy full skirts and mismatched colours and prints. And lets not forget Carries perm like hair, just incredible.
If you haven’t seen the show already I urge you to check it out, also keep a look out for any similar tastes little Carrie may have to her older self in the SATC show. Check out the trailer for the first season HERE.

What did you think of The Carrie Diaries?
Also were you a Sex and the City fan?
Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
